But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family are forced to make a moral and life-changing decision. The final collaboration between Rodgers & 汉默斯坦, The Sound of Music features a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,”“Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music.

After a shipwreck separates Viola from her twin brother, a whirlwind of mistaken identities and unrequited love on the coast of Illyria begins. Disguising herself, Viola sets out to conquer this strange land. When she falls in love with her new employer, Viola gets caught up in a romantic knot that she must untangle. Just when things stretch to the brink of bedlam, her twin appears and the puzzle pieces begin to come together. One of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies, 第十二夜brims with a lust for life and a longing for love.
